Connecting with Windows 8

  1. Access the Network and Sharing Center through the Network and Internet option in the Control Panel.

  2. Click the option “Set up a new connection or network”.

  3. Select the option “Manually connect to a wireless network” and click “Next”.

      • Enter “dPx” into the Network name field.
      • Select WPA2-Enterprise.
      • Leave the encryption type as AES.
  4. Click “Next” and then “Change connection settings”

  5. Select the “Security” tab

  6. Ensure the authentication type is “Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)”

  7. Click on the “Settings” button.

  8. Uncheck “Validate server certificate”

  9. Make sure the Select Authentication Method is on “Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)”

  10. Click “Configure” and uncheck the “When connecting use my Windows logon name...” box.

  11. Click “OK” until you are back on the Security tab.

    • Uncheck “Remember my credentials”
    • On the “Security” tab, click on “Advanced Settings”, on the “802.1X settings” tab check “Specify authentication mode” and select “User authentication”.
    • Click the “Save Credentials” button and enter your username and password.
