Games Studio Lab
Games Studio Lab is a dedicated space designed to simulate a real-world game development environment for students. It is equipped with high-performance computers, industry-standard software, and collaborative tools that are commonly used in professional game development studios. The lab's purpose is to give students hands-on experience in creating video games from concept to completion.
In addition to game development, the lab is also used for Music and Audio classes. It provides students with the tools and equipment necessary for sound design, music composition, and audio production, allowing them to develop audio skills that can be integrated into their game projects. This dual-purpose setup prepares students for careers in both game development and audio engineering by giving them access to the tools needed to create not only playable games but also immersive audio experiences.
The lab is also a central hub for classes focused on popular game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine 3D. These courses provide students with essential skills in 3D game development, including scripting, level design, and asset integration. By working with these industry-standard engines, students learn to create complex, visually stunning games with cutting-edge technology. The integration of Unity and Unreal 3D classes into the lab's curriculum allows students to explore both engines' unique features, fostering adaptability and technical expertise, which are highly sought-after in the game development industry.
