Server settings at a glance
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Incoming server (IMAP) | imap.digipen.edu, port 993, encryption SSL/TLS |
| Outgoing server (SMTP) | smtp.digipen.edu, port 587, encryption STARTTLS |
| Username | your DigiPen user ID (not the full email address) |
If port 993 does not connect, use 143 with STARTTLS instead. Port 993 is encrypted from the first byte (clients call this SSL/TLS); port 143 starts in the clear and upgrades (STARTTLS). Pairing them the other way round will fail.
Do not tick “accept all certificates”. The mail servers present a valid certificate for
*.digipen.edu. If your device warns about the certificate, stop and email helpdesk.sg@digipen.edu — that warning is worth reading, not clicking through.
