Connecting with Windows Vista or Windows 7

  1. Start -> Network and Sharing Center.

  2. Click on “Manage wireless networks” on the left.

  3. Click “Add” and select “Manually create a network profile”.

    • For the Singapore Campus.
      • Enter “dPx” into the Network name field. This field is case sensitive.
      • Select WPA2-Enterprise.
      • Leave the encryption type as TKIP.
  4. Click “Next” and then “Change connection settings”

  5. Select the “Security” tab

  6. Ensure the authentication type is “Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)”

  7. Click on the “Settings” button.

  8. Uncheck “Validate server certificate”

  9. Make sure the Select Authentication Method is on “Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)”

  10. Click “Configure” and uncheck the “When connecting use my Windows logon name...” box.

  11. Click “OK” until you are back on the Security tab.

    • Win 7: Uncheck “Remember my credentials”
    • Win 7: On the “Security” tab, click on “Advanced Settings”, on the “802.1X settings” tab check “Specify authentication mode” and select “User authentication”.
  12. Once you have all of this saved, Windows will notify you that extra security credentials are needed to connect to the network. Click on the notification bubble, and then enter your DP login and password. Leave the “Domain” field blank.
