• The SIT ICT team is currently in the process of setting up the domain controller in Punggol Campus. In the meantime, please use the following interim local account to log in:

  • Username: .\dp_sit
  • Password: dp_sit1

• Indicate the lab location, and the hostname of the PC e.g (DIT**SG)

Computer Lab Rules

Please follow these rules to keep the lab a productive and respectful space:

1. No Eating or Drinking:
   Food and drinks are not allowed to avoid spills and damage to equipment.

2. Log Out When Not in Use:
   Always log out when leaving the computer, even for short breaks.

3. Keep Noise Levels Low:
   Use headphones and keep conversations quiet to respect others.

4. Handle Equipment with Care:
   Treat all lab equipment carefully and report any damage immediately.

5. No Unauthorized Software Installation:
   Do not install or download any software without permission.

6. Save Your Work Regularly:
   Save your work often and back up important files externally.

7. Respect Lab Schedules:
   Be mindful of lab hours and scheduled classes; leave the lab when your session ends.

8. Use Resources Responsibly:
   Print only what is necessary and avoid wasting paper and ink.

9. Keep the Lab Clean:
   Dispose of trash properly and leave your workstation tidy.

10. No Unauthorized Access:
    Do not tamper with network settings or access restricted areas.

11. Follow Academic Integrity:
    Do not use lab computers for cheating or other dishonest activities.

12. Respect Privacy:
    Do not access or modify another user’s files without permission.

13. Prioritize Academic Work:
    During busy times, focus on academic tasks and limit personal use.

14. Report Issues:
    Report any problems with computers or equipment to the lab supervisor.

15. Use the Lab for Academic Purposes:
    The lab is for academic work; non-academic use should be limited.

16. Adhere to Internet Policies:
    Use the internet responsibly and avoid inappropriate content.

17. Maintain a Professional Environment:
    Behave professionally and respect others in the lab.

18. Keep Phones on Silent:
    Set phones to silent and step outside for calls.

19. No Unauthorized Hardware:
    Do not connect personal devices to lab computers without permission.

    Follow any additional rules specific to the lab you are using.
