Configuring Android Email

Follow the steps below to configure your device to access DigiPen's email.

• Go to "Email" on your android device.
• Enter your email address: studentname@digipen.edu
• Enter your password.
• Tap on "Manual Setup".
• You will be prompted with 3 types of account.
  • POP3
  • IMAP
  • Exchange
• Choose "IMAP".
• Configure "Incoming Settings".
  • Enter your username only. (Please remove @digipen.edu if it's there.)
  • Enter your password.
  • Enter your IMAP server: imap.digipen.edu
  • Enter the port: 143 preffered (Implicit Port is 993)
  • Choose Security Type: STARTTLS (Accept all certificates)
  • Tap "Next". Your Android will now do a check on the incoming settings.
• Configure "Outgoing Settings".
  • Enter your SMTP server: smtp.digipen.edu
  • Enter the port: 587
  • Choose Security Type: STARTTLS (Accept all certificates)
  • Tick on "Require sign-in".
  • Enter your username only.
  • Enter your password.
  • Tap "Next". Your Android will now do a check on the outgoing settings.
• You are done with DigiPen's configurations. Next few configurations will be your personal preference.
