Microsoft Office 365 Education

Students and educators are eligible for MS Office 365 Education for free, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and now Microsoft Teams, plus additional classroom tools.

Welcome, Fall 2026 freshmen — register your Microsoft 365 account

Register with your DigiPen student email to activate Microsoft 365 — this is also how you get Microsoft Teams, which your classes and project groups use.

Before you start:

  • Use your DigiPen student email address — a personal Gmail/Hotmail address will not be accepted.
  • Newly matriculated students: your DigiPen email may take up to 2 weeks after matriculation to be created. If registration rejects your address, that is why — wait and try again.
  • If you are told the password is incorrect, use “Reset Password”. Microsoft’s authentication is separate from DigiPen’s, so the two passwords are not the same.
  • You will be asked to set up 2FA. Do it — you cannot skip it later.

This means the latest version of the full Office productivity suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more available for offline and online use to best prepare you for class. As long as you’re a student here and we continue this offer, you’ll be able to use this software for free.

How to get it ?

To get your Office follow these simple steps:

For PC and Mac:

  • Visit https://portal.microsoftonline.com
  • Sign in with the school email address (*.edu) you have.
    • Note that if you’re prompted with incorrect password, go ahead and click on “Reset Password”.
    • Please note that Microsoft has it’s own authentication system that is not linked with DigiPen system.
    • You should receive an email to your personal email address. Click on the link in that email.
    • 2FA Setup - Increase security setup.
  • Once you’re done with the setup, you’ll have access to a web-based MS Office and also downloadable link to MS Office.

For iOS and Android:

  • Download from your app store
  • Sign in with your school credentials for full editing capability
